11 Years of teaching Mathematics.

Dear parent/guardian,

Welcome to the Sumter County High School- South. We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us!

I am Mr. G. This is my 2nd  year at ASHS and has been teaching mathematics for 11 years. I consider myself very fortunate to be among such a professional faculty and a wonderful community.

I have heard it from a student’s mother, which actually was my first meeting with a parent, she said, “I want the teachers to give my child not what they have, but you give what my child needs.” This strongly had a great impact on me and I am following it all through my profession.

For the success of the student to be an independent individual, the child needs the support of four main sources.

Parent, Teacher, School Administration and Community

I feel that working with your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I am very fortunate working with you as I know you are a wonderful parent. As a School Improvement Specilaist I would strive hard to see that your child reaches standards indicated. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom.

I want you to encourage your children at home by helping to ensure that they have completed their homework assignments, and help them study for tests.

As you know ASHS has highly experienced teachers and an excellent, talented and energetic Principal who works 24/7 for the school and for the students. If all the three specified above work together, surely the child will progress up to our expectations.

Finally, I know with your help and support we are going to have a great year!

Feel free to contact me through my email or ASHS phone, if you have any concerns or questions.
